Matty is a respected composites professional with over 25 years’ experience working with and for OEMs. He is methodical and driven by quality, with a results focus – ensuring the delivery of high-quality carbon fibre products to various markets.

Matty is honest, knowledgeable, and experienced in multiple composites sectors – from non-destructive testing, painting, and assembly, through to high volume production. He is focused on building relationships for the long term.

When not working, you can find Matty at a CrossFit gym, playing walking football, and enjoying family time.

With over 25 years of experience in composites manufacturing, Darren is a highly skilled senior engineer. He’s known for his ability to take ideas from initial concept through to final design, component development, tooling, and material selection. His career has been predominantly focused within the fast-paced world of Formula 1 and high-performance automotive sectors, working closely with OEMs to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Beyond motorsport, Darren brings a wealth of cross-sector experience, including aerospace, rail, and marine applications. His deep understanding of composite technologies, combined with hands-on expertise, makes him a valuable asset in developing innovative, high-performance components across a range of demanding industries.

Ben has 14 years of experience in the composites industry, working with companies around the world. His extensive knowledge allows him to quickly understand customer projects, ensuring smoother collaboration. Ben is committed to delivering high-quality components on any given project and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to push things through and achieve results.

Sam is a composite production manager with a passion for engineering, having worked closely with materials spanning carbon fibre, fibreglass, epoxy tooling board, and metallics. He helps bring complex projects to life in industries such as Formula 1, aerospace and automotive. Sam takes pride in running an efficient product line and enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and seeing quality parts at the finish line. He believes in good leadership, staying hands-on with the production staff and supporting them throughout the build.

Alexandra has been working in accounts and purchasing for almost a year. She is passionate about learning and growing in the industry and committed to developing her skills to contribute effectively to the team’s success. You’ll find her with a calm, steady smile – and when words fail her, she simply lets her grin do the talking. She’s proud to be part of the crew and she really enjoys working alongside such wonderful people.

Aaron has 14 years of experience in the composites industry, with a strong focus on the automotive sector. He is highly skilled in leading quality initiatives, improving processes, and ensuring compliance.

With over 10 years of machining experience for aerospace, military, motorsport, and everything in between, Alex has transferred all that experience over to composite work. He is a fully qualified and skilled machinist, with a strong Cad Cam background – bringing precision, a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude to everything he does at UK Composites.
